This project will include
three line extensions identified in the Town's Master Plan to address a
combination of water quality, fire protection, and expansion needs. Fire
hydrants will be placed at approximate 400 foot intervals along the line
extension routes. Approximately 30 new residential service connections are
planned as part of this project.
These line extensions
include:
- Hickory Ridge
Road: This project includes approximately 4,100 LF of 12 inch water main
and 136 LF of 8 inch water main extending the water line to Rocky River Road to
improve water quality. This project includes connecting the new main to an
existing water line in the Abbington subdivision at the intersection of Hickory
Ridge Road and Penton Place to provide a needed loop within the Town's
system.
- Stallings Road:
This project includes approximately 5,100 LF of 8 inch water main extending the
water line to the Heatherstone Subdivision. Two ground water wells currently
serve the subdivision, but fire protection is limited by flow from the well
pumps and the lack of fire hydrants. This project will also include providing 23
new fire hydrants within the Heatherstone subdivision to improve fire
protection.
- Pharr Mill Road: This project includes approximately 3,000 LF of
12 inch water main extending the water line to Sequoia Hills Drive. This project
provides connection of Canterfield Estates to the remainder of the Town system.
COMPLETED
This project also includes
four line replacements identified in the Town of Harrisburg's Master Plan to
address fire protection needs due to undersized mains and to replace aging
existing infrastructure. Fire hydrants will be placed at approximate 400 foot
intervals along the line replacement routes. The replacement lines will also
include connecting the existing residential service connections to the new
main.
The line replacement projects
will include:
- Patricia Avenue:
This project includes approximately 2,800 LF of 6 inch water main replacing the
existing water line along the south side of the road from Morehead Road to Ridge
Lane. COMPLETED but not connected.
- Oakside Drive: This project includes approximately 2,100 LF of 6
inch water main replacing the existing water line along the north side of the
road. COMPLETED but not connected.
- Autumn Lane: This project includes approximately 2,100 LF of 6
inch water main replacing the existing waterline along the north side of the
road. COMPLETED but not connected.
- Hudson Drive: This project includes approximately 1,500 LF of 6
inch water main replacing the existing water line along the south side of the
road.
