Harrisburg and Cabarrus County have the ability to offer incentives to companies that create well-paying new jobs and make a substantial capital investment in the community. The incentives are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and when appropriate are based on a percentage of new taxable investment.

Tax Increment Grant Policy
Another financing tool to help encourage economic development projects is the Tax Increment Grant Policy (PDF). This program allows developers to fund public infrastructure projects that will benefit from new private development in a defined area.

Rowan-Cabarrus Community College offers a Customized Training Program that supports the economic development efforts of the state by providing education and training opportunities for eligible businesses and industries.
