Communications

The Communications Department is a key component of Council’s goal of informing and engaging citizens and promoting Harrisburg. Housed within the Administration Department, the communications division collaborates with all departments and effectively provides services in support of all Town initiatives, and therefore we have provided a specific communications budget. 

Responsibilities

The Communications Manager is responsible for all aspects of outreach to:

  • Businesses
  • Citizens
  • Community partnerships
  • Media outlets
  • Other appropriate connections

The position manages:

  • Branding
  • Digital communications
  • Marketing
  • Publicity and media outreach
  • Social media
  • All other forms of communication
