The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board meets at 6 p.m. at Town Hall on the fourth Monday of every month. The Board recommends policies, projects and possible funding opportunities to the Town Council, as well as acting as a liaison to the community, soliciting volunteers and making recommendations to the Parks and Recreation Department on opportunities to improve the quality of life for Harrisburg residents through affordable, family-oriented programming, parks and special events. The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board is a volunteer board consisting of seven members. All seven members reside in the Town of Harrisburg.

Proposed budgets for the Fire, Planning & Economic Development and Parks & Recreation departments will be presented to Council. These proposed budgets include expenditures only; no revenues will be discussed during this meeting. Each department's 10-year capital plan will also be presented, with justification for each capital item and for any personnel requests.
